MY STORY

I’m Evelina Vatzeva — a RIBA architect and coach — and over the years, I’ve witnessed just how emotionally intense building projects can become.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

  • RIBA Chartered Architect

  • Over 15 years in residential and commercial architecture

  • Certified Coach

  • Based in London and Weilburg/Germany, working internationally

I’ve been a practising architect in London and Munich for over 15 years, guiding clients through projects of every size and complexity. While managing the architectural work, I often found myself helping clients navigate confusion, uncertainty, and internal disagreements.

Whether it’s a home renovation or a commercial fit-out, a building project has a way of revealing everything beneath the surface: unspoken tensions, misaligned visions, old patterns, and unresolved dynamics. It’s never just about floor plans and finishes — it’s about people.

I’ve seen couples consult divorce lawyers halfway through construction. I’ve watched businesses abandon builds because leadership teams couldn’t align. Again and again, I’ve found that what stalls a project isn’t the architecture — it’s everything else.

Yet time after time, clients have thanked me not only for my designs, but for my calm presence, creativity, and my ability to manage both the technical process and the human dynamics — their moods, wishes, and sometimes their extravagances.

That’s why I started DESIGN:RELATED: to support the emotional and interpersonal side of building.

Through coaching, I help individuals, couples, and design teams find clarity, reconnect with their vision, and move forward with more confidence — and less chaos. Together, we create space for better decisions, healthier communication, and a project that reflects not just your plans, but your values.

This is coaching for the human side of building.

MY APPROACH

Coaching with me is calm, thoughtful, and entirely tailored to you. I create a safe space where you can slow down, explore what’s truly important, and navigate moments of tension or uncertainty with greater clarity.

My work is grounded in psychosynthesis — an approach that sees each of us as made up of many different parts, each with its own voice, needs, and desires. It helps bring thinking, feeling, and action into alignment, so that you can act from a place of confidence and clarity, fully aware of where your decisions come from.

For me, psychosynthesis coaching is about helping people move forward with purpose and connection, and creating space to explore not just what you’re building, but who you’re becoming in the process.

A BIT MORE ABOUT ME

Beyond architecture and coaching, I’m a passionate Biodanza facilitator and a lover of all forms of dance. I live with my partner and our daughter, jetting between London and Germany. I find inspiration in opera, dancing, and long walks in nature — quiet spaces where I can reflect and reconnect.

“Eva is not afraid to speak her truth and include her wisdom and experience.    Her insight on work issues from different perspectives has really helped me shift mine and one major breakthrough has been changing the way I deal with my brother and my expectations of that relationship.”

In this short video, I share why I created DESIGN:RELATED — and how I help people navigate the emotional side of building projects.
